We provide short respite breaks for children and adults from our Respite house located in the heart of Gorey. Respite breaks are a holiday away from home, a break from the family, and a break for the family. The quantity of respite any person receives is determined by the HSE. Respite is provided to a small group at a time, and groupings are carefully planned accordingly to the compatibility, interest and needs of guests. Children and Adults never attend respite at the same time. Our Respite service also provides supports during emergency and crisis situations that can occur in any family from time to time. The service is regularly inspected by HIQA, and we are proud of our respite inspection record.
