Evening Support
Our evening support is called “Social Lives Matter” (SLM evening service). This service was developed following an advocacy campaign focused on advocating for people’s social lives in the evening — “our lives don’t end at 3pm just because that’s when my day service closes.” St Aidan’s Advocacy Group (STAAG) advocated for this service and presented it directly to the CEO of the HSE and the funding was granted for this much needed service within Gorey town. The service promotes community inclusion and provides opportunities to meet new people and engage in new experiences while promoting social skills. The evening service supports a wide range of activities, including cinema trips, bowling, enjoying a drink locally, and attending theatre shows or concerts.
