Multi-Sensory Garden
We in St Aidan's have major plans for the future. Our immediate plan, however, is to establish a multi sensorial and therapy unit on our campus here.

The multi sensory environments use light, sound and tactile experiences to create stimulating environments that people can interact with, whatever their special needs or physical abilities.

Multi sensory environments have been found to help people with a very wide range of difficulties, ranging from profound multiple disabilities, dementia, sensory impairment, autism and behaviours that challenge. This environment can also create a fantastic backdrop to storytelling etc., promoting an inclusive experience.

Each and every service-user in our service will benefit from this facility greatly and it will enhance the services already provided. This is why we take the opportunity today, to launch our fundraising campaign, to purchase a building to house this unit and equip it to a high standard.
